Melbourne City Baths is seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Guest Experience Officers to join our casual team. As the first point of contact for our members and visitors, you'll play a vital role in creating welcoming, inclusive and positive experiences for everyone who walks through our doors.
Working within the Recreation and Waterways Branch, you'll provide outstanding service across multiple channels, support membership and sales activities, and contribute to the delivery of high-quality aquatic and recreation services for our community.

- Deliver exceptional customer service in person, over the phone and online.
- Support membership sales, retention activities and customer enquiries.
- Undertake administrative tasks including membership maintenance, banking, cash handling and data entry.
- Assist in resolving customer concerns and escalating issues appropriately.
- Promote facility programs and services to help customers achieve their health and wellbeing goals.
- Contribute to a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment for all facility users.

About you
You are a friendly, professional and adaptable customer service professional who enjoys connecting with people from all walks of life. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, take pride in delivering excellent service, and are confident handling a variety of customer enquiries and administrative tasks.You enjoy working as part of a team, are committed to continuous improvement, and are passionate about supporting community wellbeing through recreation and aquatic services.
What your experience might look like
- Experience delivering high-quality customer service, ideally within a recreation, health, fitness, aquatic, hospitality or retail environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with a diverse range of customers.
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications and point-of-sale systems.
- Demonstrated accuracy in cash handling, reconciliation and administrative processes.
- Previous sales or membership experience will be highly regarded.
- Ability to work within established policies and procedures while contributing to service improvements.
- Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate and Provide First Aid Certificate, or willingness to obtain both within four weeks of commencement.
