As a Football Schools Goalkeeper Coach, you will work flexibly, delivering coaching sessions to students of varying abilities and age groups. This position is integral to our commitment to nurturing talent and fostering a passion for football in young people.

What you'll be doing

• Delivering high-quality goalkeeper coaching sessions to participants across multiple locations
• Assessing individual goalkeeper abilities and developing tailored training programs to support skill development
• Teaching fundamental and advanced goalkeeper techniques, using the City Football coaching methodology
• Creating engaging and age-appropriate coaching activities that maintain participant motivation and enjoyment
• Providing constructive feedback to participants on performance and areas for improvement
• Monitoring participant progress and adjusting coaching strategies accordingly
• Maintaining a safe and inclusive training environment for all participants
• Communicating effectively with participants and parents regarding coaching activities and player development
• Adhering to Melbourne City FC's coaching philosophy, values, and safeguarding policies

What we're looking for

• Coaching Licence (UEFA C / AFC C Licence) or working towards
• Strong technical knowledge of goalkeeper skills, positioning, and game tactics
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with participants of different ages and abilities
• Patient, encouraging approach to coaching with the ability to build confidence in young players
• Current First Aid and CPR certification preferred but not essential
• Working with Children Check (WWC) clearance or willingness to obtain this prior to commencing
• Enthusiasm for developing young talent and contributing to player progression
• Flexibility to work outside business hours, weekends, and school holiday periods as required
