The Mornington Peninsula Football Netball League (MPFNL) is one of Victoria’s premier community sporting competitions, administering Australian Rules football and netball across the Mornington Peninsula and surrounding south-eastern region of Melbourne.
Comprised of 22 member clubs and 3 associate clubs competing across senior Mens Football, Womens Football and Netball, the league oversees multiple football and netball competitions that engage thousands of players, volunteers, officials and supporters each season. The MPFNL plays a critical role in supporting the growth, integrity and long-term sustainability of community football and netball in the region.
With a proud history spanning more than a century of Peninsula football, the league continues to evolve as a modern sporting organisation, strengthening governance, expanding participation pathways and delivering high-quality competitions and events for clubs and communities.
Working in close partnership with clubs, volunteers, the AFL system and community stakeholders, and spanning 4 LGAs the MPFNL is committed to growing the game and ensuring community sport continues to thrive across the Peninsula.
From 1 November 2026 the League is fully self administered for the first time in over a decade, and we're building a small, professional team to run it.
