This is a newly redefined role reporting directly to the General Manager, Croquet Australia.
The Administration, Communications & Marketing Lead is central to the day-to-day administration, communications, marketing and member relationship management of Croquet Australia, and plays a key role in supporting national events and the coaching and officiating pathways.
This is a highly autonomous role. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, well organised, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment, with regular structure provided through weekly online and teleconference check-ins with the General Manager and broader team.
This position works closely with the Pathways & Participation Coordinator and General Manager to ensure consistent communication and administrative support across pathway, participation and membership initiatives.
Key Responsibility Areas
1. Administration & Membership Systems
- Manage and maintain Croquet Australia's CRM, ensuring accurate and up-to-date member, club and stakeholder records.
- Provide administrative support across the organisation, including correspondence, reporting, scheduling and general office coordination (all delivered remotely).
- Manage multiple concurrent projects, ensuring deadlines, budgets and deliverables are met.
2. Communications & Marketing
- Develop and implement marketing and communications activities, including newsletters, social media, website content and promotional materials, to grow awareness and participation in croquet.
- Create digital content using tools such as Canva to support digital and social media marketing campaigns.
- Prepare reports, updates and presentations for the General Manager and Board as required.
3. Events & Pathways Support
- Plan, coordinate and support the delivery of national croquet events, including logistics, communications and stakeholder liaison.
4. Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting
- Build and maintain strong relationships with state associations, clubs, members, coaches, officials and other key stakeholders.
- Participate in weekly online meetings and teleconference check-ins to report on progress and align priorities.
- Undertake other duties as reasonably required to support the objectives of Croquet Australia.
Key Skills & Experience
Essential
- A minimum of two (2) years' experience working within sports administration.
- Demonstrated experience using CRMs for member or customer relationship management.
- Proven experience in planning and coordinating sporting events.
- Demonstrated experience creating marketing content, including the use of digital content creation tools, such as Canva.
- Strong relationship management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Sound project management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of self-motivation, initiative and discipline, with a demonstrated ability to work unsupervised in a remote environment.
- Strong time management and organisational skills.
- Proficiency with standard office software and online collaboration platforms (e.g. MS Teams, SharePoint).
- Must be a permanent resident of Australia.
- Current Working with Children Card (or State equivalent).
Desirable
- Recent or previous hands-on experience using REVSPORT.
- Recent experience in a similar role with a state or national sporting organisation.
- Preference will be given to candidates located on the east coast of Australia, though applications from all locations will be considered.
Working Conditions
- Full time, ongoing position
- Salary range $70 - $72k plus superannuation (subject to skills and experience)
- Remote WFH role - Australian residents only
- Must be able to work unsupervised, with reliable internet access and a suitable home office setup.
- Availability to participate in weekly online meetings and teleconference check-ins with the General Manager and team.
