Description

This role plays a pivotal leadership role in driving the strategic development and growth of diving across Australia. It is responsible for translating the sport's strategic vision into actionable plans that increase participation, strengthen the sport's foundations, enhance stakeholder engagement, and ensure the long-term sustainability and success of diving at all levels.

Working collaboratively with State Sporting Organisations, clubs, schools and other key stakeholders, the role leads the development and implementation of systems, programs and initiatives that improve capability, efficiency and effectiveness across the sport and create greater opportunities for participation and growth.

Essential Requirements

  • Sports Management / Business Degree
  • National Police / Criminal History Check
  • Working with Children / Working with Vulnerable People Check
  • Drivers Licence
  • Demonstrated experience in sport development, strategic planning and execution, with a contemporary understanding of the Australian sporting system, networks and federated sport environment.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement participation, membership or sport development programs and initiatives that achieve measurable outcomes and support organisational growth.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted partnerships, align diverse stakeholders and drive collective outcomes.
  • Strong leadership and people management capability, including experience developing, mentoring and empowering individuals and teams to achieve high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to set strategic and operational priorities, monitor performance, drive accountability and deliver outcomes in complex environments.
  • Financial acumen and budget management experience, including planning, forecasting, grant funding, resource allocation and ongoing financial oversight.
  • Advanced analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills, combined with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and changing demands.
