Artistic Swimming NSW is seeking a hands-on volunteer Committee Member to join its Board and help grow the profile, reach and commercial sustainability of artistic swimming across New South Wales. Artistic Swimming NSW is the recognised State Sporting Organisation for artistic swimming in NSW and forms part of the National Sporting Organisation led by Artistic Swimming Australia.
This is a voluntary, unpaid role suited to someone with professional experience in commercial partnerships, marketing, sponsorship, sport, events or community engagement who is willing to contribute both strategically and practically.
- Commercial partnerships and sponsorship – identifying, developing and activating partnerships that support participation, events, athlete pathways and organisational sustainability.
- Marketing and communications – helping build the visibility of artistic swimming through campaigns, storytelling, digital channels, media, brand development and community engagement.
- Sport sector experience – understanding of community sport, high-performance pathways, club environments, volunteers, events, member engagement or athlete development.
- Practical delivery – willingness to contribute hands-on support, not only provide advice, in a small volunteer-led organisation.
Governance experience, previous board or committee involvement, or AICD qualifications will be well regarded, but are not essential. More important is a collaborative approach, sound judgement and a genuine interest in helping a growing Olympic sport thrive.
The Role
As a volunteer Committee Member, you will work with the Board to support the strategic direction, governance and practical delivery of Artistic Swimming NSW. This role will suit someone who is comfortable moving between strategy, relationship-building and implementation.

- Support good governance, risk awareness, integrity, inclusion and member-focused decision-making.
The expected time commitment includes attendance at Board and committee meetings, preparation between meetings, and hands-on contribution to agreed projects or initiatives.
About You
You may be a marketing, sponsorship, commercial partnerships, sport, events or community engagement professional who wants to use your skills to make a meaningful contribution to community sport.
