Whitehorse Netball Association is looking for an experienced and passionate Head Representative Coach. This part-time role (15 hours per week, 12-month fixed-term contract) is responsible for leading our Rep Program - overseeing a group of coaches, mentoring players, and building a strong, inclusive culture across our representative teams. Hours are worked primarily on Sunday evenings at Sportlink and weekday evenings at Waverley Netball Centre, in line with training and competition schedules. It's a great opportunity for an experienced coach who wants to shape the direction of a community netball program.
Key duties and responsibilities:
Leading and mentoring WNA's Rep Coaches, officials and players across all age groups
Overseeing Rep Program delivery, including attending tournaments, competitions and training
Running Rep trials, including team selection, player placement and independent selectors
Managing Rep Program administration, budgeting and reporting to the Board
Recruiting, onboarding and supporting Age Group and Rep Coaches
Providing professional development opportunities for coaches
Promoting a positive, inclusive and collaborative team environment
Successful candidate will have:
Relevant netball coaching accreditation and representative-level coaching experience
Strong leadership and mentoring skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Sound understanding of WNA, Netball Victoria and Netball Australia policies, including child safety requirements
Ability to work collaboratively with the WNA Board and Operations Manager
A passion for helping coaches and players develop, grow and succeed
Requirements to note:
Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
Relevant netball coaching accreditation
Netball Victoria Membership
Current driver's licence and own car
Remuneration: In accordance with the Sporting Organisations Award (Coach Grade 113, dependent on experience).
