BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Digital Content Producer is responsible for creating engaging, social-first content across Football Australia's national teams, competitions and corporate brands.
Working within the Digital Content team, this role produces video, written and digital content that grows audiences, drives engagement and strengthens fan connection. The role also supports live event and match-day coverage, website content and EDM communications, helping bring the stories of Australian football to life.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Key responsibilities include:
- Create and publish engaging content across Football Australia's digital channels, driving audience growth and engagement
- Produce video, photography and written content that strengthens fan connection with Football Australia's brands, competitions and national teams
- Deliver live and match-day social media coverage to enhance fan experience and reach
- Write and publish website articles, features and editorial content that increase website traffic and engagement
- Create and distribute EDM campaigns that support audience growth, retention and conversion
- Monitor content performance, audience trends and platform developments to continually optimise results
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver integrated campaigns and storytelling opportunities aligned with Football Australia's strategic objectives
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Experience in social media, digital content production or sports media
- Strong content creation, storytelling and copywriting skills
- Video production and editing experience, including Adobe Creative Suite
- Understanding of social media platforms, audience engagement and digital trends
- Experience producing website and email marketing content
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Knowledge of football or the Australian sporting landscape is highly regarded
- Relevant qualification in Marketing, Communications, Media, Journalism or a related field
- Experience in sport, media, entertainment or major events is desirable
