Touch Football Australia (TFA) is seeking an energetic and highly organised Programs Coordinator - Tasmania & Victoria to play a key role in delivering pathway and participation programs across two of Australia's most exciting growth markets.

Working alongside coaches, officials, volunteers, schools, affiliates, and state and national stakeholders, you'll help create opportunities for participants from grassroots through to representative pathways while coordinating two of our premier state programs: Tasmania Thunder and Victoria Storm.

About the Role

As the Programs Coordinator, you'll be the driving force behind the coordination and administration of the Tasmania Thunder and Victoria Storm representative programs while supporting participation and development initiatives across both states.

You'll work closely with our Growth Manager and national pathway teams to ensure athletes, coaches, referees, volunteers, schools, and affiliates are well supported.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, coordinating multiple projects, and helping people achieve their sporting goals.

What You'll Be Doing

Representative Program Coordination

• Coordinate the Tasmania Thunder and Victoria Storm programs.
• Manage registrations, nominations, travel, accommodation, uniforms, and program logistics.
• Support athletes and families throughout representative pathway programs.
• Assist with program budgeting and financial administration.
• Coordinate communications and participant information.

Growing Participation

• Deliver programs that connect schools, communities, and representative pathways.
• Support initiatives targeting youth, women and girls, multicultural communities, LGBTQ+ participants, and people of all abilities.
• Coordinate Sporting Schools programs and school engagement activities.
• Build partnerships with schools, councils, and community organisations.

Coach & Referee Development

• Coordinate appointment and onboarding processes for coaches and officials.
• Support education and development opportunities for coaches and referees.
• Help recruit and grow the volunteer workforce across Tasmania and Victoria.
• Connect local development opportunities with national pathways.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Work closely with affiliates, volunteers, schools, councils, and pathway partners.
• Support planning, reporting, and program evaluation.
• Strengthen relationships across the Touch Football network.
• Contribute to the continued growth of the sport across both states.

About You

You thrive in a fast-paced environment, love working with people, and enjoy bringing projects together from start to finish.

You'll likely bring:

• Experience in sports administration, program coordination, community sport, or recreation.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Strong communication and relationship-building capability.
• Confidence managing multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
• Strong Microsoft Office and database skills.
• A passion for participation, pathways, community development, and sport.

Bonus Points If You Have:

• Experience in Touch Football.
• Experience using MySideline or similar sporting platforms.
• Experience supporting coach or referee education pathways.
• Knowledge of diversity and inclusion initiatives in sport.
• Qualifications in Sport Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

What You'll Need

• Current driver's licence and access to a vehicle.
• Ability to work some evenings and weekends.
• Willingness to travel regularly between Tasmania and Victoria.
• Working with Vulnerable People Check (TAS) and Working with Children Check (VIC), or the ability to obtain them.
