Description

Wenona is seeking outstanding and enthusiastic casual Summer sport coaches - Tennis, Water Polo and Football for Term 4 2026 and Term 1 2027.

The sporting program at Wenona is a vibrant and central part of school life, characterised by high levels of student engagement and participation that focuses on team spirit, fair play, courage, adventure and balanced, healthy lifestyles.

All coaching positions will require before and/or after school training commitments with the possibility to negotiate days. Coaching and referee positions require you to be available on Saturdays, normally a morning commitment. Pay and conditions are determined by experience, qualifications and level of professional representation as determined by the Principal in consultation with the Director of Sport and Performance K to12.

Successful applicants will be required to provide the School with a current Working with Children Certificate and a NSW Police Check and required to undertake a coach induction process.

Tennis:

  • Junior School Program including Hot Shots and Top Spin Tennis
  • Must be available on Friday afternoons 3pm - 5:30pm and Saturdays between 7am and 12pm in Term 4. Potential for additional involvement in the Senior School program during the week in Term 4 2026 and Term 1 2027. 

Water Polo

  • Junior School Flippa Ball & Modified Water Polo program
  • Must be available on Friday afternoons 3:30pm - 5pm and Saturdays between 7am and 12pm.

Football 

  • Term 1 Junior School competition
  • Must be available for training on Tuesday and/or Thursday afternoons 3pm - 5pm and Saturday games between 7am and 12pm February to April
  • Potential for additional involvement in the Senior School program in Term 2 & 3 2027.

Additional Opportunities:

  • Coaches: Swimming, Fitness and Fencing coaches - year-round training 
  • Referees: Touch Football - Term 4 and Term 1 Saturdays between 7am and 12pm

Requirements:

  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Current Coaching Qualification
