You want to own a finance function and have a real say in where the business goes next.

We are Dream Courts, a fast paced, growing sport court design and installation business backed by the NBL Group. We have created this role to own our finance function end to end, and to rebuild how it works as we grow.

You will join our leadership team, report to our CEO and the NBL Group CFO, and lead an accounts officer. As the role grows, you will support other NBL Group entities, including Performance Travel and First Ever.

Dream Courts is a growing sport court design and installation business within the NBL Group, working alongside group entities including Performance Travel and First Ever. We bring the profile and standards of an elite national sporting business, with the pace and autonomy of a business that is still building.

The Role

You will own our finance function, end to end.

• Prepare accurate, on time monthly management accounts, cash flow forecasts and budgets
• Lead accounts payable, invoicing, progress claims and debtor follow up, with an accounts officer in your team
• Run end to end payroll, including super, STP and award compliance
• Own job costing, WIP and project profitability reporting across all jobs
• Keep BAS, IAS, super and payroll tax obligations on track
• Lead hands on finance transformation: rebuild systems, controls and processes, and trial AI tools where they help
• Coach our leaders and teams on the numbers, and align reporting with NBL Group standards

You will be based with us at Dream Courts in Bayswater four days a week, and at the NBL Group office in Cremorne one day a week.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a finance leader who wants to own the numbers and make the function better.

• CA/CPA qualified, confident running a finance function solo
• Hands on finance transformation or rebuild experience
• Accurate accounting, reporting and payroll (awards, super, STP)
• Experience in construction, trades or project-based businesses
• Already experimenting with AI tools, and keen to do more

And the non-negotiables - you hold a high standard on accuracy, you’re organised and reliable, and you thrive in a fast-paced business. You move between transaction detail and business level reporting in the same day, and you’re proficient in Xero or MYOB and Excel.
