About the team –
Site Operations delivers day-to-day facilities, venue operations and logistics services across the AIS campus and other ASC sites. We work closely with security, maintenance, horticulture, commercial, capital works and strategic asset management teams to keep facilities safe, functional, well-presented and ready for sport, events, tenants, staff and visitors. The team supports a diverse and active campus, including the AIS Arena, aquatic facilities, the Sports Training Facility and high-performance training environments, where reliable service and operational readiness matter every day.
About the roles –
We are seeking applications for two ongoing opportunities within our Site Operations team, offering the opportunity to contribute at different levels of operational responsibility and leadership:
- Site Operations Supervisor [Stream 1] | ASC Grade 4
- Manager Site Operations [Stream 2] | ASC Grade 5
Applicants should clearly indicate in their application whether they wish to be considered for Stream 1, Stream 2, or both opportunities.
Site Operations Supervisor [Stream 1] | ASC Grade 4
As Site Operations Supervisor, you will coordinate the day-to-day delivery of facilities, venue and logistics services across the AIS campus. You will supervise Site Operators and casual employees, allocate work, monitor workflow and service standards, and ensure facilities, venues and operational areas are safe, well-presented and ready for customers, training, bookings and events.
Working in a seven-day operational environment, you will support the operational readiness of facilities including the AIS aquatic facilities, Sports Training Facility and high-performance training environments. You will coordinate venue set-ups and pack-downs, workforce deployment, contractors, service providers and operational resources. You will resolve routine and moderately complex issues, escalate risks and incidents when required, and support operational administration, procurement, asset coordination and reporting.
You will also contribute to improving procedures and work practices while promoting safe work, excellent customer service and a positive team culture.
This is a key hands-on operational leadership role for an experienced operational supervisor who can organise people and priorities, respond calmly to changing operational needs and maintain high service standards in a complex environment.
Manager Site Operations [Stream 2] | ASC Grade 5
As Site Operations Manager, you will lead the day-to-day readiness, presentation and operational delivery of facilities, venues and logistics services across the AIS campus. You will lead and mentor Site Operations Supervisors, Site Operators and casual employees, setting priorities, coordinating resources and maintaining safe and effective operating standards in a seven-day environment.
You will oversee specialised facilities within your assigned precinct, including the AIS Arena and Visitors Centre, AIS Track and Field Centre and Logistics Services. You will coordinate venue readiness, set-ups and pack-down activities, manage operational budgets and procurement, and monitor contractors and service providers across cleaning, transport, storage, pest control and other operational services.
You will resolve complex operational issues, manage risk and compliance, and ensure facilities remain safe, fit for purpose and responsive to customer needs.
This is a key operational leadership role for an experienced manager who can lead people, manage competing priorities and drive continuous improvement in service delivery. You will build productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, provide clear operational advice and use sound judgement to strengthen safety, customer outcomes and operational performance.
