2027 Season | Coaching Contract Opportunity

Macarthur Football Association (MFA) and Macarthur Rams Football Club (MRFC) are seeking a highly motivated, qualified and professional Head of Goalkeeping to join our football development and high-performance coaching team for the 2027 season.

This is an exciting opportunity to work across one of the largest football development pathways in South-West Sydney, supporting aspiring young goalkeepers through to senior representative football.

THE ROLE

The successful applicant will be responsible for planning, coordinating and delivering high-quality goalkeeper coaching sessions across MFA and MRFC programs, working collaboratively with our Technical Directors, Head Coaches and football development staff.

The role will involve working across the following programs:

• MFA Talent Development Program (TDP): Boys and girls from Under 8 through to Under 16, covering 18 development teams.
• MFA & Macarthur Rams Junior Development League (JDL): Boys and girls goalkeeper development programs.
• Macarthur Rams Boys Youth League: Goalkeeper development across all youth age groups.
• Macarthur Rams Girls Youth League: Goalkeeper development across all youth age groups.
• Macarthur Rams Senior Programs: Men's and Women's First Grade and development squads.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and deliver structured, age-appropriate goalkeeper training sessions aligned with our club's technical philosophy.
• Develop individual goalkeeper development plans to improve technical, tactical, physical and psychological performance.
• Work closely with Technical Directors and team coaches to integrate goalkeeper development into team training and match-day performance.
• Establish consistent goalkeeper coaching standards across all MFA and MRFC pathway programs.
• Identify and nurture talented young goalkeepers, creating clear development pathways towards elite representative football.
• Provide regular feedback, assessments and ongoing development support to goalkeepers and coaching staff.
• Maintain a professional, positive and high-performance training environment.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must demonstrate:

• AFC Goalkeeping B Licence (mandatory).
• Proven ability to plan and deliver high-quality goalkeeper coaching sessions across multiple age groups and performance levels.
• Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with Technical Directors, coaches and football development staff.
• A commitment to professional coaching standards, player development and continuous improvement.
• Availability to coach during evenings and weekends as required.
• A current Working With Children Check.
