This course covers how to be an effective manager through performance development and management of staff including the communication skills required to excel in leading your team.  

Ideal for those who have responsibility for other workers and needing to develop their ability to empower their staff and navigate those difficult conversations.  

It covers the skills and knowledge required to allocate work, review performance and reward excellence in your team.  

At the conclusion of training, students will be able to: 

  • Establish communications protocols
  • Coordinate and review effective communication
  • Allocate, assess and provide feedback on work performance
  • Negotiate effectively through persuasive communication

  • Study of the units of Competency
  • BSBLDR522 – Manage people performance  
  • BSBXCM501 Lead communication in the workplace
  • Student access to PGA e-learning platform – eHub for a 4-month period  
  • Assessor Support – 4-month period
  • Statement of Attainment at successful completion of unit assessment  

Entry requirements: 

  • Be 18+ years of age at time of enrolment 
  • Successful completion of LLN Assessment test with the PGA Institute
