We are looking for a full-time Foundation & Community Assistant to join our team. The position has a unique opportunity to build positive relationships with a variety of internal and external partners to deliver high impact programs and initiatives by assisting with and administering the following areas of work:
Panthers Foundation’s three pillars (education, community & participation)
- Assist with delivery of programs and initiatives within the Foundation’s three pillars, including Adopt-A-School, Sticks to Stadium, Play Like a Panther and our relationship with Nepean Hospital
- Support club activities that are integrated into local community activities
- Assist with coordinating player appearances across business and supervision of player appearances within the community space
- Administer and report on all programs within the Foundation Pillars
- Work closely with the Foundation & Community team on implementing new program development and business plans.
- Administer the Community Inbox and community storage spaces within the Rugby League Academy.
- Work with the team on all aspects of Community Volunteering within Panthers Foundation.
Events & Fundraising Campaigns
- Coordinate planning and operational matters for Foundation & Community events and campaigns
- Where appropriate, work with Head of Foundation & Community on any potential fundraising aspects to both Rugby League and Community/Foundation events and campaigns
- Assist with all events and campaigns in an efficient, friendly and productive manner
- Work collaboratively with both marketing and finance functions within Rugby League as appropriate and required for all events and campaigns
- Remain up to date and aware of competitor products and facilities
Community Presence on Game Days
- Get involved in Panthers Foundation & Community activities at Panthers Game Days
- Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures on gamed days
- Support Head of Foundation & Community in carrying out new community initiatives for game days
- Assisting community programs and experiences as required
Qualifications & experience
- Tertiary education in sports/management/community; significant work experience can substitute for the degree
- Experience in large scale events
- Experience with community programs
- Ability to accomplish projects with little supervision
- Ability to assist with multiple projects and work assignments from a variety of staff and volunteers
- Excellent communication skills, including writing, proof reading skills, and speaking
- Excellent interpersonal skills both in person and by phone, with high professionalism
- Fantastic customer service ethic and high expectations for quality
- Intermediate level of computer skills and proficient using the latest versions of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and mail merges; email and web searches
- Strong attention to detail, organisational and time management skills
- Good interpersonal and supervisory skills
