The NSFA Community Football Manager works within our football department to drive engagement, retention and participation in community football. They are responsible for managing XLR8, our internal Player Development Coaching arm, as well as managing and delivering high quality coach development initiatives throughout the association.
Key Results & Objectives
Delivery of the NSFA Future Football Strategy - Community Football Development pillar
Lead XLR8 Business Development & Strategy including new Business Plan 2024-26
Develop best practice XLR8 football programs to support Club, coach, and player development
Efficient management of XLR8 Programs
Ongoing recruitment and development of outstanding XLR8 Coaches
Effectively manage XLR8 stakeholder relationships
Expansion of XLR8 within and external to NSFA
Implement the NSFA Coach Development Strategy, increasing the number and quality of coach education events and experiences both formal and informal
Execute a comprehensive coach education plan that meets the needs of NSFA members
Recruit, train, lead, mentor and empower a team of coach education tutors to deliver the coach education strategy
Collaborate with NSFA Pathways pillar & Northern Tigers to ensure integration and flow of information, resources, support and experience.

Increase retention rate of NSFA Players and Coaches
Create, develop and deliver the overarching NSFA Coach Development Strategy
Manage the budget and meet reporting deadlines for coach education
Review, organise and delivery of formal coach education courses (Miniroos, Foundation of Football, Foundation of Goalkeeping, C Diploma)
Develop and deliver innovative informal coach development opportunities – workshops for coaches, workshops for parents, online initiatives, newsletters, etc.
Increase the number of approved coach education tutors in NSFA
Monitor and support NSFA Development League Clubs to meet coaching criteria requirements
Collaborate with the Football Inclusivity & Club Operations Manager to deliver the ‘Whats Best for Her’ female football plan
Management, leadership and delivery of the Club Coach Coordinator program
Provide Coach Education support for Northern Tigers Coaches
