Key Responsibilities:

Club Development:

  • Oversee all Club Development activity across Outer East Football Netball clubs
  • Liaison directly with the AFL Victoria Club Development team to coordinate programs to support clubs with particular focus on volunteers, grants & funding and women & girls
  • Co-ordinate and facilitate various Club Development programs in line with Outer East Football & Netball strategic initiatives
  • Manage and deliver accurate timely reporting to the CEO on all Club Development activities
  • Be the key contact for Outer East Football & Netball Women’s Advisory Group
  • Lead Child Safety support programs for clubs and Outer East Football Netball in general
  • Provide football services, administrative support, and guidance to clubs, support to other Outer East Football Netball staff in the administration and management of all football Competitions (Male and Female)
  • Maintain the leagues by laws, rules and regulations and update as required
  • Manage and deliver accurate timely reporting to the GM - Operations
  • Manage recording and reporting of all on and field behaviour - key statistics
  • Collate and maintain data on competition competitiveness / regrading

Home and Away Season Coordination:

  • Support Outer East operations staff in the conduct of all Senior (incorporating Senior, Reserve, Women’s, Veterans and U18 football competitions)
  • Liaise with and maintain effective working relationships with clubs, umpires and other stakeholders
  • Oversee administration and upkeep of all match day paperwork and follow up as required.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with NAB League partner Eastern Ranges and AFL Victoria.
  • Manage club by law compliances, reporting to GM Operations in a timely manner. Finals and Events
  • Support Operations staff in the planning and coordination of the final’s series (Senior and Junior)
  • Assist with required match day duties during finals matches.
  • Support the Finance and Administration Manager in the development and coordination of league events and functions Reporting
  • The role reports directly to the CEO (Club Development) & GM - Operations (Football Operations)
  • The role will work closely with the following: Junior Operations Coordinator, Netball Operations Coordinator, Media and Communications Coordinator and the Umpire and Competitions Coordinator on a daily basis

Required Skills:

  • Tertiary qualifications in sports management or suitable work experience in related field/s or community clubs
  • High level MS Office suite skills
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated personal initiative and ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability and willingness to work outside of normal business hours
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the community football structure in the region and the role it plays in the community
  • Demonstrated knowledge of AFL Victoria’s CCSP policy’s along with other relevant national and local procedures/policy’s Desirable Skills
  • Working knowledge of PlayHQ
  • Knowledge of various online programs such as, Canva, Google Docs, Survey Monkey & Jotforms etc Required

Essential Requirements

  • Working with Children / Working with Vulnerable People Check
  • Drivers Licence
  • Relevant Tertiary Qualification and/or Experience
