The Y Geelong is currently seeking a experienced Advanced Coach to join our Gymnastics team in 2025!
The Gymnastics Advanced Coach at the Y Geelong, will work within a large team to promote community participation and provide high-quality instruction in the Gymnastics Australian Levels Program (ALP) for ages 4-17. The Gymnastics Advanced Coach will coach Artistic Gymnastics at ALP Level 1-6, as well as working in our recreational gymnastics streams. Our advanced coaches have a passion for developing young athletes’ skills and caring for their passions and love for sport. Here at the Y Geelong we want every child to have the best experience whilst attending our programs from the junior programs all the way to our senior competitive gymnasts. If you want to be apart of a child's gymnastics journey and work on their sporting dreams we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement training programs for ALP programs
- Conduct group training sessions, focusing on skill development, technique refinement, and physical conditioning
- Attend competitions and practice days
- Prepare athletes for competitions, including routine composition and mental preparation
- Monitor athletes’ progress and provide constructive feedback
- Foster a positive and inclusive training environment that encourages growth and sportsmanship
