The WPA High Performance vision is “For the Stingers and Sharks to Win Well at Olympic Games to inspire Australia” and our purpose is ‘to provide the environments which sustainably enable the Stinges and Sharks to Win Well when it matters”.
The WPA High Performance Program supports both the Stingers and Sharks and relies on partnerships with key stakeholders including the Australian Institute of Sport and the National Institute Network (NIN). Both programs are de-centralised for a large portion of the Olympic cycle. A key role of the HP program is to embed a nationally integrated and coordinated approach to assist the development and progression of our categorised athletes to ensure sustainable success of both the Stingers and Sharks.
The purpose of this role is to lead the development, planning and execution of an integrated and holistic wellbeing system, aligned to WPA’s HP Strategy for all categorised WPA athletes and support staff.
Through proactive planning, utilization of National Referral Networks and collaboration with NIN AWE staff, key HP leads, coaches and performance health and support teams, you will implement programs to support athletes to effectively and safely navigate their performance pathway, compete at international level and transition through critical career points throughout and beyond their sporting career.
