About the Position:

To oversee and deliver community, participation growth and pathway programs across Greater Sydney. The role will support the implementation of the new Hockey NSW strategy and assist in the growth of participation across Greater Sydney.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Greater Sydney Centre of Development Coordination and Delivery where possible.
  • Oversee and coordination of School Programs in Greater Sydney (school programs, sporting schools’ programs, gala days) and delivery where possible
  • Delivery and coordination of Community Activations across Greater Sydney (Indoor Development Programs, Multisport and Inclusion Days, etc.)
  • Coordination of Community Programs to increase participation across Hockey NSW, including working with local community clubs to help drive registration for non-registered participants within Greater Sydney
  • Conduct promotional activities to meet participant targets e.g. school assemblies and other promotional activities
  • Deliver pathway programs across Greater Sydney including Future Academy programs and associated pathway initiatives
  • Support and contribute to the success of the broader team

Due to the nature of the sporting industry, there will be some work required on weekends and evenings. Remuneration is negotiable depending on experience.

Commitment to Child Safety and Integrity

  • Hockey NSW is committed to protecting children and young people from harm. We require all employees and volunteers to undergo an extensive screening process prior to appointment
  • Employees and volunteers must at all times comply with the HA Safe Hockey Framework, and with all relevant State/Territory child protection legislation and requirements, including obtaining and maintaining all required clearance certificates and declarations. 
  • All employees and volunteers are required to obtain and provide evidence of a current Working with Children’s Check with the appropriate employee or volunteer categorisation.
  • Employees are required to adhere to the Hockey NSW Code of Conduct

Essential Requirements

  • Working with Children / Working with Vulnerable People Check
  • Drivers Licence
  • 1 – 3 years’ experience working with Community and/or Development Programs, within the sporting industry is preferred
