AusCycling is the nation’s peak riding and cycling body, representing more than 5 million Australians who ride bikes. Formed in 2020 from 19 state, territory, and national bodies, AusCycling is responsible for programs, projects and initiatives that encompass BMX, Track, Mountain Bike, Road, Para and recreational.

AusCycling, Australia’s national sports body for cycling and riding, is looking for an Apparel and Merchandise Manager. This is an outstanding opportunity to work across the organisation, including directly supporting the ARA Australian Cycling Team and our national calendar of major events.
Ideally, you’ll have a minimum five years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in a sports environment; you’ll have outstanding administrative and organisational skills, great attention to detail, and you’ll be adept at working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This is a hands-on role, where you’ll be driving day-to-day operations to ensure smooth and efficient program delivery.
You’ll have a knack for identifying commercial opportunities through merchandise and licensing initiatives, and you’ll understand the importance of brand, consumer and stakeholder satisfaction.
Based in Brisbane, the Apparel & Merchandise Manager has two broad areas of responsibility:
- Managing the official apparel program (including on- and off-bike clothing) for AusCycling athletes and staff, and
- Overseeing AusCycling’s official merchandise program.
Reporting to the EGM Commercial, your responsibilities will include:
- Working closely with the Performance and People teams, manage the ordering and distribution of all on- and off-bike clothing requirements each year.
- Manage the official apparel range, including approvals of product range and design.
- Manage official merchandise range concept and design, orders, deliveries, and sales, including in-event and online.
- Drive collaboration with the Marketing and Media teams to develop promotional plans leveraging our owned channels.
