SwimmingSA (SSA) is the peak body for competitive swimming in South Australia with its office based at the SA Aquatic & Leisure Centre. Its key stakeholders are South Australia swimming associations and Clubs, Swimming Australia (SAL), Swim Coaches and Teachers Australia (SCTA), South Australian Institute of Sport (SASI) and other State Swimming Associations.
SSA provides a wide variety of services to the 48 Clubs and ~5000 members located around South Australia, including financial guidance, member protection, swimmer development and competition organisation. We also provide professional advice and support to related recreation and Government agencies. SSA is responsible for the management and development of the sport from the State team at elite level through to “grass roots” community level participation.
As the Pathways Coordinator, you are responsible for providing pathways, opportunities and environments for athletes and coaches to reach their full potential through the engagement of each other and expertise within and outside our sport. You will work closely with the Australian Swim Coaches & Teachers Association (SA Branch), Swimming Australia Coach Leadership Team and South Australian Sports Institute to help deliver shared outcomes. Including leading the delivery of, and developing SwimmingSA's strategy and operational plan, in line with the Australian Swimming Framework. You will manage relationships with key partners and stakeholders and work collaboratively to achieve the key duties of the position.
