The Opportunity
This position will lead and develop the Noosa Aquatic Centre (NAC) high-performing swim squad coaching program, ensuring a high-quality proactive approach to the squad training.
The position will lead, develop, implement and deliver a contemporary squad program.
The NAC Swim Squad Program consists of swim, surf and triathlon members, looking to excel in pool and open water competition.

- Position Remuneration: Aquatics Grade 3 - Adult pro-rata ($60,337 Base annual salary) / ($68,488 Total remuneration package which is based on a permanent full-time employee and inclusive of 12% employer superannuation and 17.5% leave loading). Note the remuneration will be less if the successful applicant is not of adult classification.
About You
You will have the demonstrated ability to communicate with all levels of athletes, parents/guardians, employees and other facility patrons.
You will have extensive experience in the development, implementation and delivery of a contemporary, multidiscipline high-performance swim coaching program.
Further, you will have the proven ability to be able to work as a team member with all employees as well as experience in supervising other employees and developing work schedules.
The position's focus will be:
- Coordinate the provision and general leadership of the NAC operated swim coaching services.
- Provide hands on coaching and teaching including preparation of daily training and competition plans.
- Work closely with squad participants to set and achieve performance goals.
- Perform supervisory tasks such as general administration, rostering, training and mentoring the team.
- Work collaboratively with other coaching staff in program delivery.
- Cover coaching staff absences/illnesses.
- Provide assistance in the marketing and promotion of the program.
- Develop a good working relationship with the clubs currently located at the NAC.
- Ensure all coaching staff maintain essential qualifications and comply with the Centre procedures and policies.
- Maintain all relevant professional accreditations and certifications.
- Other relevant duties as required from time to time which would generally fall within the scope of this position.
