ABOUT THE ROLE
The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has awarded Football Australia hosting rights for the 2026 edition of the AFC Women's Asian Cup™. This marks Australia's second time hosting the event, after previously staging it in 2006, and follows the success of co-hosting the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup™.
You will be part of a Local Organising Committee (LOC), which has been established for the sole purpose of delivering the 2026 edition of the AFC Women's Asian Cup™ in Australia.
This prestigious event will bring together 12 nations in a tournament structured into three groups of four. We are eager to create another tournament that celebrates women's football and multicultural Australia and also delivers legacy outcomes for football and Australian society more broadly.
Please note that this role is fixed term until April 2026.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Acting as the main point of contact for building management, overseeing the efficient operation and maintenance of the office, managing office supplies and equipment, and coordinating vendor relationships and catering needs.
- Implementing policies and procedures, supporting the WAC26 LOC Executive Team with travel and credit card acquittals, and ensuring the efficient operation of the office, including maintaining appearance, managing supplies, and overseeing administrative tasks.
- Coordinating meetings, providing administrative support, and keeping management informed through regular reporting.
- Supporting the organization of LOC Team Town Hall Meetings, team offsite events, and monthly Business to Business events, including venue sourcing, logistics, and catering.
- End-to-end management of office functions, event preparation, and guest management, working with key stakeholders to support VIP requirements, Board meetings, AFC inspections, and other activities as needed.

ABOUT YOU
Experience, Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in an administrative or office project role with strong communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and capable of managing multiple tasks with high organizational and logistical skills.
- Experienced in project scoping, office relocations, and handling contingency scenarios effectively.
- Strong ability to build relationships, maintain professional standards, and create a positive team environment.
- Capable of working autonomously, managing tight deadlines, demonstrating integrity, and having a friendly, detail-oriented approach.

Additional Requirements:
- Full working rights in Australia
- Working with children check (paid/employee) or state-based equivalent
- International Criminal History Record for each country (other than Australia) in which you have resided for 12 months or more in the last 10 years (if applicable)
