Elite Pathways Operations Manager

This role is based at Hutchinson Builders Centre in Townsville, adjacent to Queensland Country Bank Stadium.
A one year, fixed term position, the Elite Pathways Operations Manager oversees the day-to-day management and administration duties of the North Queensland Cowboys Elite Pathways Program. Combining strategic planning with a passion for rugby league, the Elite Pathways Operations Manager will manage the pathways structure, including staff, players, budgets, travel, and operations. The Elite Pathways Operations Manager reports to the NRL & Pathways Football Operations Manager.

Key responsibilities:
- Oversee current NQ Cowboys Pathways structure
- Plan and implement structure for teams participating in state-level and national level rugby league competitions
- Monitor and report on development programs, recommending improvements
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure alignment with overall club strategy
- Manage and develop program budgets
- Develop policies and procedures for the effective and efficient operation of Football programs
- Ensure compliance with National Rugby League rules and standards
- Represent the NQ Cowboys Elite Pathways program in media and public relations activities
Essential Skills, Knowledge & Qualifications:
Required
- Relevant Tertiary qualifications in Management
- All relevant WHS certifications (WWC Check / First Aid & CPR etc)
- Ability to meet NRL requirements for registration & accreditation
- Current Drivers Licence
- Experience in professional or semi-professional rugby league or elite sporting competition
- Experience in junior development pathway programs
- Demonstrated ability to operate and excel in a fast-paced, high-pressure work environment
- Experience in strategic planning and execution
