We are looking for passionate and motivated individuals to lead the delivery of our aquatic programs on deck. As an Aquatic Services Officer, you will play a key role in assessing and educating students, providing exceptional customer service to our Yarra Leisure families, and supporting the development of our staff. You will contribute to the success of our learn-to-swim, water safety, and other specialised aquatic programs within the City of Yarra’s Leisure Services Branch.
We have two core programs - School Swimming Programs from 9:30am-3:00pm, and our Yarra Leisure Learn to Swim program which runs from 9:30am-12:30pm and 3:30pm-7:00pm Monday to Friday and 8:00am-2:00pm on Weekends. As such, we are seeking staff with a range of availability during these times.
The industry is continuing to see unprecedented demand for swimming lessons and our program continues to grow over time in response to our ever-growing community.

Applicants must hold a current Teacher of Swimming and Water Certificate from a Registered Provider and CPR qualification (or have commenced the process of obtaining these qualifications).
The successful candidate will:
- Lead the on-deck delivery of aquatic programs, ensuring high standards of customer service and safety.
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to support their development within the learn-to-swim curriculum.
- Support and mentor swim instructors, contributing to their ongoing growth and program consistency.
- Perform all work processes in accordance with the Yarra Leisure Aquatic Programs and all Yarra Leisure policies and procedures.
