About the Organisation:

Role Summary:

As the CEO of Rugby Union SA, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of rugby in South Australia. You will drive strategic growth, oversee operational excellence, and work with the Board to implement a visionary Strategic Plan that aligns with Rugby Australia's ambitions. In this key leadership role, you will harness the power of the golden decade of rugby to elevate the sport and expand its influence across the state and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the strategic and operational planning to grow Rugby Union in South Australia, ensuring it remains competitive, inclusive, and financially sustainable.
• Develop strong relationships with local clubs, Rugby Australia, sponsors, and government bodies to unlock new opportunities for growth.
• Oversee financial management, including budget creation and allocation, ensuring a sustainable future for the sport.
• Drive innovation in business development, securing sponsorships, and creating new revenue streams.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, while effectively managing risks and governance.
• Inspire, motivate, and lead a talented team to achieve excellence in all areas of the game.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• A minimum of three years in a senior management role, ideally in sports, business, or a related field.
• Proven leadership ability with outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong experience in strategic planning, execution, and financial management.
• Established expertise in building relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Degree in Sport Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
