Job Description: We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Club Manager to lead our new club in Canberra.  The ideal candidate will have a passion for children's fitness and development, strong leadership skills, and the ability to create a positive and motivating atmosphere for both staff and members.  In this role you will have significant input in shaping the direction and decision making within the business, creating a safe and supportive environment, dedicated to inspiring movement and building confidence in our community. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the gym club, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
• Recruit, train, and manage a team of coaches and support staff, fostering a collaborative and positive work culture.
• Ensure high standards of customer service, addressing member inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
• Manage scheduling, class registrations, and membership renewals, using our gym management software.
• Collaborate with marketing to promote the gym club, undertake pre-sale activities and attract new members.
• Monitor and manage the club’s budget, ensuring financial targets are met.
• Organise special events, workshops, and community outreach programs to enhance the club’s visibility and engagement.
• Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a managerial role, preferably within a fitness or sports facility, or working with children.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Working with Children and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Passion for promoting fitness and healthy lifestyles among children.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of the club.
