About the role

This position is instrumental in fostering and developing Aquatics programs with Council's Aquatics and Leisure facilities. This role is dedicated to effectively developing pathways and programs to enhance member retention and engagement, by leading a skilled team of Aquatic professionals, whilst ensuring our programs are both innovative and effectively meeting the diverse needs of our members and contributing to the pathways of development.

Essential criteria

  • Relevant tertiary qualification or experience in Aquatic Industries.
  • Hold Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety qualification, and/or ASCTA Performance or Advanced (Silver or Gold) level coaching accreditation or can obtain these qualifications.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and motivating a team coupled with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Current First Aid
  • Current CPR
  • Current NSW Working with Children Check.

Commencing salary: $90,063.00 per annum, plus 11.5% Superannuation.

This position has been identified as a Child-Related position under Child Protection laws in NSW. To be eligible to apply, you are required to provide Council with a valid Working with Children Check Number.

You will be required to undertake employment checks, which may include a Criminal History Check, Qualification Check, Working with Children Check, Medical Declaration and/or a Functional Test, as relevant to the position for which you have applied. Where a Criminal History Check is required and has returned a result that indicates disclosable court outcomes, you will be required to provide a copy of the report to Penrith City Council, for review, in order to progress through the recruitment process.
