The AusTriathlon High Performance Program has launched its ambitious 2032+ Strategy, driven by our Vision: “Extraordinary Performances and People Inspiring the Nation.” This strategy aims to elevate Australian Triathlon back onto the global stage, ensuring even better support to our athletes and coaches, with a renewed focus as we strive to win, and win well in LA2028 and importantly, Brisbane 2032.
Reporting to the High Performance Operations Manager, we seek a detail-oriented High Performance Administration Officer to provide critical administrative and logistical support to our High Performance team. This role is integral to the seamless operation of domestic and international travel, project/event coordination, uniform distribution, and World Triathlon event data management.
Working closely with the High Performance Operations Manager, athletes, coaches, and other key stakeholders you will ensure all administrative functions are executed with accuracy and efficiency. You will demonstrate a high-level attention to detail, be a great communicator and have a passion for working in a dynamic and high-performing sports environment.

POSITION CAPABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The High Performance Administration Officer works closely with the High Performance Operations Manager, athletes, coaches, and other key internal and external stakeholders to ensure all administrative functions are executed with accuracy and efficiency. Key Responsibilities include:
Travel Coordination
- Manage all aspects of domestic and international travel for athletes and staff, including flights, accommodation, transport, and itineraries
- Ensure bookings align with team schedules, budgets and performance plans
- Prepare and distribute travel documentation and manage last-minute changes effectively
Event & Camp Logistics
- Coordinate the logistics for training camps, competitions, and other events
- Assist with venue bookings, catering, equipment, transport, and scheduling
- Liaise with internal staff and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project/event delivery
Uniform & Equipment Distribution
- Coordinate the ordering, allocation, and distribution of team uniform and performance equipment
- Maintain accurate records of inventory and ensure timely replacements or updates as needed
Data Entry & Administrative Support
- Maintain accurate and confidential records, databases, and filing systems
- Be responsible for World Triathlon entree system
- Provide general administrative support to the High Performance Operations Manager and team, including meeting coordination, team communications and event/project management
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS ARE ESSENTIAL (E) AND/OR DESIRABLE (D):
- Demonstrated experience in administration, logistics, or operations, ideally within a high performance or sporting environment (E)
- Excellent organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail (E)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of stakeholders (E)
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment (E)
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and a proactive, solutions-focused work ethic (E)
- Flexibility to work outside standard hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by travel and competition schedules (E)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant administrative or scheduling platforms (E)
- Working with Children Clearance & Police Checks (E)
- Awareness of, and ability to work in accordance with AusTriathlon’s Safeguarding and Children and Young People policies (E)
- Experience coordinating group travel and logistics for domestic and international events (D)
- Understanding of high performance sport environments and the operational needs of athletes, coaches, and support staff (D)
- Familiarity with the sport of triathlon, including the logistical complexities of long-haul travel with equipment (D)
- An understanding of Olympic and Paralympic pathways, competition structures, and selection processes (D)
