THE ROLE - MULTIMEDIA COORDINATOR

We’re looking for a hands-on and creative Multimedia Coordinator to join our team. Reporting to the General Manager - Junior League, this role is responsible for creating and delivering engaging digital content that showcases the people, clubs, and events across our community and pathways programs on web and social platforms.

From match-day coverage to storytelling and events, this role will be central to how we highlight and promote the vibrant rugby league community in our region. Please note: regular weekend work is a key requirement of this role, as you’ll be capturing content at matches and events.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Capture and edit video content including highlights, interviews, and feature stories
  • Take and edit photos for use across social media and website
  • Create and publish engaging content with a focus on community and development competitions
  • Write engaging captions and social media copy
  • Present and pitch ideas to grow digital following and engagement
  • Respond to messages, comments, and enquiries on social media
  • Track, analyse, and report on social media performance and engagement metrics
  • Integrate current social trends into content plans
  • Manage the content calendar and schedule posts via publishing tools
  • Prepare and present regular content performance reports
  • Collaborate with the broader Eels content team to ensure consistency with brand tone and strategy
  • Attend NRL/NRLW Content Days to gather relevant messaging
  • Produce all multimedia for presentation events (videos, slideshows, award content)
  • Manage website updates and content uploads via CMS
  • Attend matches, training sessions, and events - including weekends
  • Provide live event coverage (e.g. Instagram stories, interviews, reels)
  • Work closely with the Elite Pathways team to promote Junior Reps and Development squads
  • Support the wider team with various content-related tasks

KEY ATTRIBUTES

Education & Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (desirable)
  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience in social media content creation and management
  • Strong copywriting and captioning skills for social media
  • Skilled in video editing and photography - sport-specific experience highly regarded
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, etc.)
  • Exposure to graphic design and content publishing tools
  • Experience with content management systems (CMS)
