Are you enthusiastic about teaching children essential swimming skills in a safe and supportive environment? Guildford Grammar School is seeking passionate and experienced Learn to Swim Instructors to support our Prep School Students in afternoons sessions during term time and school holidays.

If you are a qualified Swim Instructor and dedicated to providing a fun, safe and supportive environment where our students can gain essential water skills, we would love to hear from you!

Please submit a short cover letter outlining your experience as a Swimming Instructor, along with a current resume that includes details of three current referees.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop age-appropriate lesson plans based on children's abilities.
• Teach fundamental swimming techniques and adapt teaching methods to meet individual learning styles
• Encourage confidence and enjoyment in the water
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants
• Keep First Aid, CPR, and relevant swim instructor qualifications up to date

This is a casual role with the below shifts available

• Tuesday, Thursday and Friday - 3.15pm-6pm (during term time and school holidays)
• Tuesday, Thursday and Friday – 1.30pm-3pm Week 5 & 6 of Term 4
• There will also be additional opportunites for work during Term 1.

About you:

• AUSTSWIM qualification or equivalent
• Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
• Ability to inspire and motivate young athletes
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive sporting environment.
• The right to work in Australia.
• Police Check (dated within the last 6 months).
• Current Working with Children Check.
• Ability to build rapport with students and colleagues within the Sports Department and across the School
