About the role

Play a critical role in advancing gender equality in tennis by leading the implementation of the Tennis Women and Girls Strategy in Tasmania. You will manage the delivery of tailored programs and initiatives that will be key to increasing the access, participation and opportunities for women and girls in the sport.

In this role you will:

  • Ensure the national Women and Girls strategy is reflected in the Tennis Tasmania strategy by collaborating with the leadership.
  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert on Women and Girls by assisting in the training and remaining up to date on knowledge of gender equality.
  • Deliver Women and Girls programs and initiatives to support the increase in women and girls leading and playing tennis.
  • Support in the identification and application for local and government grants available for programs and initiatives for women and girls, involving the completion of associated applications for the grants.
  • Observe, evaluate and report on the Tennis Tasmania Women and Girls programs and initiatives.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Proven experience in delivering professional development programs.
  • Commitment to gender equality for women and girls in tennis and a passion for sport and tennis.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and experienced in building collaborative relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Expertise in project management and delivery knowledge and skills.
  • Demonstrated success working in a team environment and influencing key stakeholders.
  • Tertiary qualification in business management, education, physical education, sport science, or human movement (desirable).
  • A current Police Check and Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain).
  • Preparedness to be flexible in regard to working hours and arrangements relating to work associated with Tennis Australia.
