Netball Tasmania have a small workforce located in Hobart who govern Netball across Tasmania from grassroots through to High Performance pathways.

About the Role

The Performance Pathway Manager, working closely with our High Performance Coach will be responsible for the management of our High Performance strategy, ensuring that Netball Tasmania achieves its talent development objectives. With a strong focus on stakeholder management, the Performance Pathway Manager will contribute to ensure all pathway programs run smoothly, are well managed and operated in accordance with best practice.

Programs the role is responsible for include:

  • 15U School Sports Australia Tasmanian Netball team
  • 17U & 19U National Netball Championships teams
  • First Nations ‘Lutruwita’ State Team
  • FUTURES Athlete Development program
  • EMERGING Talent Athlete Development program
  • TASMANIAN WILD State Team
  • TASMANIAN WILD High- Performance Academy

The Performance Pathway Manager role would be ideally suited to someone who thrives in sport, has a calming influence, and can manage diverse stakeholder groups.  Confidentiality, initiative, organisation and energy will be key drivers for your sustainability in this role.

Key Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • In collaboration with the HP Head Coach, lead the design, management and evaluation of all relevant programs. Inclusive of Selection policies and procedures, program logistics (camps and competitions) and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Provide advice, support and direction to key stakeholders to support alignment of deliverables within the High Performance Plan.
  • Managing an integrated delivery model of support staff, volunteers and service providers
  • Managing agreements and plans with stakeholders including Netball Australia and the TIS or other providers
  • Representing Netball Tasmania at events, meetings and tournaments
  • Support the strategic objectives of Netball Tasmania, including the design of annual operational plans, achievements of KPI’s and development of reporting and evaluation frameworks.
  • Manage pathway program budgets to ensure financial efficiency, compliance and optimal resource allocation.

This role does require after-hours and weekend work, including attendance at state and national championships.

What You will Bring:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification (sport management, sport science, human movement or similar)
  • 2 years’ experience in sport administration or a similar environment.
  • Strong administration, organisation and communication skills
  • Confidence liaising with athletes, coaches, parents and volunteers
  • A passion for the game of Netball and commitment to preparing our Tasmanian Representative programs to the highest standards.
  • High computer literacy and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in an everchanging fast-moving environment
  • Knowledge of diversity, inclusion, child safe practices and community sport principles

Essential Requirements

  • Valid Working With Vulnerable People Card
  • Drivers licence, own vehicle and ability to travel within Tasmania
