Volunteer Opportunity – FQ Academy Inter-Conference Carnival
Football Queensland is excited to announce the return of the Inter-Conference Junior & Youth Carnival, our largest regional talent event, taking place this April at Mackay Football Park, in partnership with Mackay Regional Council.
This is a fantastic opportunity for volunteers to support the next generation of football talent in Queensland.

About the Carnival
This carnival will feature top regional talent from FQ Academy Centres across:
- Wide Bay
- Central Coast
- Whitsunday Coast
- Northern
- Far North & Gulf
The event is designed for talent identification and data gathering, giving players the opportunity to apply key skills and learning from training sessions in a game-based environment against peers from neighbouring regions.
Volunteer Roles Available
Court / Match Day Coordinators & General Event Support
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with match flow, court coordination and scheduling
- Engage with players, parents and coaches
- Support overall event delivery and logistics
- Help create a positive, organised, and high-energy environment for all participants
Who We’re Looking For:
- Passionate about sport and community
- Energetic, friendly, and proactive
- Confident communicators who enjoy working with people
- Keen to contribute to the development of youth football pathways
Accommodation Notice
Please note no accommodation is provided. Volunteers must be local or able to arrange their own accommodation in Mackay for the event days.
