About the opportunity
Blacktown City Council’s Key Venues section is seeking an experienced and motivated Catering Team Leader to manage catering operations at Blacktown Leisure Centre Stanhope. The role is responsible for delivering high-quality, safe, and customer-focused catering services that align with Council’s values of teamwork, innovation, and safety. This hands-on leadership position oversees staff recruitment, training, rostering, food safety, equipment management, and operational standards. Creativity and initiative are key to this position, with the opportunity to introduce innovative business ideas.

Qualifications and experience
Essential:
- Food industry and hygiene training
- Demonstrated knowledge of food and hygiene regulations
- Experience in a supervisory role within a catering environment
- Experience working both within a team environment and as a ‘self-starter’
- Current class C driver's licence
- Current Working with Children Check.
Desirable:
- Experience in a supervisory role in a similar environment
- Current CPR Certificate
- Current First Aid Certificate.
Remuneration and benefits
The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.
- Entry level for this position starts at $1,408.84 per week, plus an additional 12.25% in accordance with Council's flexibility agreement
- 114 hours over a 3-week rotational roster (includes working one weekend every 3 weeks)
