Description

Waves Fitness and Aquatic Centre, located in The Hills Shire Council area, is looking for a experienced Permanent Part Time Aquatic Programs Officer to join our team. The complex includes a 10-lane 50m outdoor Olympic-sized pool, additional 25m outdoor pool and two indoor learn to swim and leisure pools, along with a water play area, and a fully equipped fitness centre. What this role looks like:

  • Plan and coordinate the delivery of activity programs.
  • Train and mentor swim school instructors, fostering professional growth and skill development.
  • Supervise Swim Instructors and customers, ensuring safety and high-quality programs.
  • Assist in keeping financial records of participants & ensure enrolment fees are up to date.
  • Conduct training needs analysis for the team and action training requirements.

What are we seeking in our new team member:

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Teacher of Swimming & Water Safety Certificate
  • Teacher of Infants and Preschool Certificate
  • First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009)
  • Working with children check

This is a full-time permanent position working 38 hrs per week, Tuesday - Saturday shift hours as rostered. Competitive rates of pay at $76K per annum, plus super, plus penalty rates, paid weekly.
