Reports to: Chief Executive Officer

Shape the future of performance, pathways and integrity in Touch Football across NSW

NSW Touch Football is entering an exciting new phase of growth, alignment and performance. We are seeking an outstanding senior sport leader to join our executive team as Head of Performance, Pathways & Integrity.

This is a rare opportunity to influence the future direction of one of NSW’s largest and most connected sporting communities. The role will lead the strategic development of performance programs, representative pathways, coaching and referee development, selector systems, NSW Teams, State of Origin programs and sport integrity across NSW Touch Football.

From grassroots participation through to elite representative environments, this role will be central to building a clear, connected and high-performing sport system that supports athletes, coaches, referees, selectors, volunteers and affiliates to thrive.

About the role

The Head of Performance, Pathways & Integrity will provide senior leadership across three critical areas of the sport:

  • Performance and Pathways: You will lead the development and continuous improvement of NSW Touch Football’s performance and pathway systems, ensuring athletes, coaches, referees and selectors have clear and connected progression opportunities from affiliate and regional environments through to NSW Teams and State of Origin.
  • High Performance and Representative Programs: You will provide executive oversight of NSW representative programs, including NSW Teams and State of Origin campaigns, ensuring strong planning, preparation, communication, selection integrity, standards and post-program review.
  • Sport Integrity and Safe Sport Leadership: You will lead NSW Touch Football’s integrity function, supporting safe, fair, inclusive and well-governed environments aligned with contemporary national integrity expectations.

The role will also oversee key technical workforce functions, including the High-Performance Unit, Director of Coaching, Director of Referees and Director of Selectors, and will directly support staff within the performance and pathways portfolio.

What you will bring

We are looking for a strategic, energetic and values-driven leader who understands sport systems and can operate effectively across both high-performance and community environments.

The successful candidate will bring:

  • Senior leadership experience in high performance sport, pathways, coaching, officiating, integrity or sport operations.
  • A strong understanding of athlete, coach, referee and selector development.
  • Experience leading or improving representative programs, elite pathways or comparable performance environments.
  • The ability to build trust and alignment across staff, volunteers, technical leaders, affiliates, regions and external partners.
  • Sound judgement, professionalism and discretion when managing sensitive matters.
  • A strong understanding of safe sport, integrity, governance and contemporary sport expectations.
  • The ability to lead strategy while also ensuring disciplined delivery, reporting and accountability.

Experience in Touch Football or a comparable team sport environment will be highly regarded.

Why join NSW Touch Football?

This is more than a management role. It is an opportunity to help shape the next generation of Touch Football in NSW.

You will join an organisation with a proud history, a passionate community and a clear ambition to strengthen its connection between grassroots participation, regional development, technical excellence, representative performance and elite success.

You will work directly with the CEO and executive leadership team, contribute to whole-of-organisation strategy, and play a key role in ensuring NSW Touch Football continues to lead, grow and evolve as a modern, inclusive and high-performing sporting organisation.
