The successful applicant will work closely with Baseball Victoria staff, Baseball Australia, affiliated associations, clubs, members, committees, and volunteers to deliver and coordinate engaging and professionally run events that enhance participation opportunities and promote the sport throughout the Victorian community.

Tasks involved in the role:

  • entering data into competition management systems,
  •  assisting with tournament preparation and event setup,
  •  coordinating equipment and uniform distribution to venues,
  •  stocktaking event and pathway program equipment,
  •  responding to queries from clubs, members, and participants regarding competitions, tournaments, and event operations,
  •  supporting Women’s and Girls initiatives through communications and promotional material,
  •  assisting with the coordination of Hall of Fame and Awards functions,
  •  printing certificates and event materials,
  •  engaging with sponsors and stakeholders regarding partnerships and activations,
  •  providing competition administration and IT support to committees and clubs,
  •  attending meetings with Baseball Australia, associations, and advisory groups,
  •  participating in post-event reviews and recommending improvements,
  •  developing ideas for new competitions, tournaments, and participation opportunities,
  •  supporting Baseball Victoria pathway and showcase events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and support Baseball Victoria tournaments and championship events annually.
  • Assist in the delivery and growth of Women’s, Girls’, Youth, and participation-based competitions and events.
  • Coordinate and support the annual Hall of Fame and Awards functions.
  • Assist with the delivery of showcase and pathway events in collaboration with Baseball Victoria staff.
  • Support seasonal competition administration across Victoria.
  • Engage with partners and sponsors to enhance event delivery and reduce operational costs.
  • Assist in the development of new participation opportunities targeting emerging and underrepresented demographics.
  • Provide administrative and operational support to affiliated committees and competitions.
