Reporting to the Basketball Operations Manager, the Development Officer manages the day-to-day delivery of IBA's programs, camps and clinics, coordinates coaching staff, and acts as the key point of contact for schools, sponsors, members and Basketball NSW. This role is also the Junior Representative Program Lead, working closely with team managers and coaches to support our representative pathways.
Key Responsibilities
Manage phone and email correspondence with members, schools and the community
Establish and administer programs, camps and clinics via Basketball Connect
Manage the Basketball Connect registration and payment process
Coordinate coaching staff for IBA programs and holiday camps/clinics
Allocate coaches for Sporting Schools programs and manage school relationships
Lead the Junior Representative Program
Manage stadium bookings and calendar administration
Maintain accurate records and databases
What We're Looking For
Current Working With Children Check (WWCC), or willingness to obtain one
Minimum Club Coach qualification
Strong communication, interpersonal, organisational and leadership skills
Confidence with Microsoft Office, Canva and general office systems
Ability to support budgeting and bookkeeping processes
Professional presentation and willingness to wear IBA uniform
A genuine passion for growing community basketball, especially participation among girls and women
Desirable
Experience engaging members via digital and social media platforms
Experience working with media, volunteers, local councils and community groups
Knowledge of IBA's camps and development programs
Hours & Conditions
Standard hours are 9:00am to 5:00pm, 38 hours per week, with flexibility required for evening and weekend work during competitions, camps and school holiday periods. This position is permanent full-time.
