South Lake Dolphins Swimming Club is seeking an experienced and motivated Swimming coach to join our team. Based in Perth, Western Australia, at the modern Cockburn ARC facility, our club prides itself on fostering a supportive, inclusive, and high-performance environment for swimmers.
This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated coach with proven experience at State and or National level to play a key role in developing athletes and contributing to the ongoing success of our program.
Key responsibilities:
Work closely & collaborate with the head coach, committee, and other coaching staff across all squads.
Plan, develop and deliver structured swimming programs for competitive squads
Coach and mentor swimmers to achieve their individual performance goals
Monitor athlete progress and provide supportive feedback to swimmers, including stroke, dive and turn techniques during training sessions and competitions, to help them achieve their full potential.
Foster a positive, inclusive and disciplined training environment
Attend and coach at targeted swimming meets
About you:
We are looking for a highly motivated individual with the following key traits and experience:
Demonstrated experience coaching swimmers at State or National Level
Strong technical knowledge and ability to develop effective training programs
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with swimmers and stakeholders.
Passion for athlete development and team culture
Minimum Qualifications:
Swimming Australia Development Coach, or equivalent
Working with children check
Employment Details:
Hours will vary depending on the successful applicant’s availability and experience
Hourly rate will be commensurate with experience
