Then the Hockey Victoria Participation Officer (PO) Role is for you!

As a Participation Officer, you are the high-energy, friendly face of hockey in schools and local communities. Your main goal is to make sure every child - whether they are a total superstar or picking up a stick for the very first time - has an absolute blast trying hockey.

This is a fast-paced, hands-on casual role where you get to coach junior clinics, bring exciting holiday programs to life, and inspire the next generation of players.

What you’ll actually be doing:

• Running fun, high-energy sessions in primary and secondary schools, school holiday programs, and community clinics.
• Making sure everyone is included by creating a safe, welcoming, and loud environment where kids of all skill levels can succeed.
• Helping kids find a local pathway by letting them know how they can keep playing at their local junior hockey clubs after your school clinics wrap up.
• Bringing the big events to life by running our premium holiday camps, handing out merchandise showbags, and making kids feel like professional athletes for the day.

What we need from you:

• Infectious energy and enthusiasm - you love working with kids and know how to keep a large group engaged.
• An inclusive mindset - you prioritise fun and effort over perfect technique.
• The essentials: Coaching experience, A valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) and your own reliable transport to get out to different school venues.
