The following responsibilities are indicative requirements of the role and are not intended to represent an exhaustive list of all requirements:

High Performance Operational Management

  • Provide professional and timely operational and administrative support to the High Performance Director (HPD) and Senior Leadership team
  • Manage and have oversight of all operational and administrative functions of the High Performance program. 
  • Provide effective management and support to the High Performance Administrator, ensuring clarity of role and tasks, clear communication and balance of autonomy and direction.
  • Provide efficient and effective operational and communication support to plan and implement high performance program processes
  • Proactively review policies, procedures and manuals relating to the organisation and the conduct of the national teams, tours, camps and squads.
  • Manage the High Performance Hub facility, ensuring a clean and productive work environment.
  • Ensuring concise, accurate, timely and informative communications to athletes, coaches, staff and external stakeholders
  • Perform Secretariat duties or administrative support for meetings as needed such as preparing agendas, recording meetings, managing and coordinating assigned actions and papers, and disseminating action in a timely manner.
  • Where required, provide executive assistant support to the High Performance Director

Operational Delivery

  • Deliver, in close collaboration with the High Performance Administrator, all operational and administrative functions of the High Performance program, including:
  • Travel Coordination to camps, competitions and events: ensuring accurate, timely and efficient travel support
  • Event Logistics: proactively delivering professional events and projects
  • Uniform and Equipment Distribution: coordinating accurate, timely and efficient equipment and uniform distribution and inventories
  • Operational support to the Ascent Academy coaches and staff
  • Manage and administer the World Triathlon and/or Olympic/Paralympic athlete nomination system and processes.
  • Reporting and Administrative support: providing clear, concise reporting and administrative support to the high performance program as well as the wider organisation, as required.

Financial management

  • Assist the HPD in developing and monitoring the High Performance Budget
  • Developing efficient and accurate systems and processes to monitor expenditure against budget across various high performance cost centres
  • Ensuring all invoicing and expenditure relating to the high performance program is accurate and timely
  • Reconcile accounts for athletes, including the invoicing and collection of money, in line with approved budgets and athlete support models.
  • Maintain all relevant High Performance contracts and relevant documentation

Essential Requirements

  • Relevant Tertiary Qualification
  • Working with Children / Working with Vulnerable People Check
  • Drivers Licence
  • • Demonstrated experience (5years +) in sports administration, management, logistics, or operations, ideally within a high performance or sporting environment
  • • Excellent organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail
