Description

Netball Victoria is seeking a Full-time Facilities and Infrastructure Coordinator to join the team.

You will play a key role in supporting the planning, development and improvement of netball infrastructure that helps communities thrive and keeps people connected through sport. In this hands-on role, you’ll help turn facility ideas into real outcomes - supporting projects, partnerships and local opportunities that strengthen the game from grassroots to elite level.

About Netball Victoria

At Netball Victoria, we’re more than a sporting organisation, we’re a community dedicated to empowering lives through netball. Guided by our core values - empowerment, innovation, and leadership - we aim to inspire and grow the sport while making a lasting impact – from grassroots to elite level.

About the role

Reporting to the Facilities and Infrastructure Manager, the Facilities and Infrastructure Coordinator will support the planning, development and delivery of netball infrastructure initiatives across Victoria. This role works closely with local councils, government agencies, sporting bodies and community stakeholders to help identify and drive facility development opportunities that increase participation and improve access to quality netball facilities.

The role is responsible for maintaining facilities resources and databases, supporting funding and infrastructure projects, coordinating stakeholder engagement activities, and providing administrative support across the Facilities and Infrastructure portfolio. Strong attention to detail, curiosity and the ability to show initiative will be key to success.

Due to the nature of this role, some after-hours and weekend work, including travel, will be required.

Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Providing advice and support to stakeholders regarding Netball Victoria Facility Standards and Netball Australia Facility Guidelines.
  • Assisting with the identification, assessment and prioritisation of netball facility development opportunities across Victoria.
  • Supporting stakeholder and council forums relating to netball infrastructure and facility planning.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with government departments, local government authorities, sporting organisations and key industry stakeholders.
  • Maintaining facilities resources, council profiles, fact sheets and infrastructure databases to ensure information remains current and relevant.
  • Collating, analysing and presenting facilities data, project information and reporting insights.
  • Monitoring and responding to facilities enquiries and providing administrative support to the Facilities and Infrastructure Manager.
  • Advocating for improved netball infrastructure outcomes that support future generations of participants.

What you will bring:

  • Relevant professional experience in facility management, infrastructure planning, sport management or a related discipline would be highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong and productive relationships with a broad range of stakeholders, including local government and government agencies.
  • Experience supporting funding application processes and compliance requirements.
  • Strong data management, analysis and reporting capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to self-manage, prioritise competing demands and deliver outcomes.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement and innovative thinking.
  • A passion for sport and its purpose and power from grassroots to elite level.
  • A valid Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).

What we offer:

  • Flexibility: Hybrid working arrangements and recognition that our work doesn’t always fit a 9-to-5 schedule.
  • Benefits and Perks: Free parking onsite, gym access, tickets to Melbourne Vixens home games, and partner discounts.
  • Wellbeing Support: Employee Assistance Program (EAP), annual flu vaccines, and a welcoming, inclusive culture.
