Netball ACT (NACT) is the peak body for netball in the ACT and a Member Organisation of Netball Australia. Our purpose is to lead and support the ACT community to inspire and grow netball.
The General Manager is a newly established role leading day-to-day operations and integrated delivery across competitions, participation, pathways, performance, workforce, facilities, events, commercial outcomes and member services. The role works closely with the CEO, staff, contractors, Member Associations and stakeholders to ensure services are coordinated, high quality and aligned to strategy.
Position Profile and Primary Objectives
The General Manager leads Netball ACT’s integrated operational and netball delivery functions, ensuring competitions, programs, events, facilities and member services are well planned, coordinated and delivered to a high standard. The role strengthens accountability, improves internal coordination and provides clear operational leadership across the ACT netball community.
Position Capabilities
The General Manager will bring strong operational leadership, people management, sport delivery, facility management and stakeholder engagement capability. The successful candidate will manage competing priorities, lead multidisciplinary teams, translate strategy into practical delivery plans and support a culture of accountability, collaboration, service and continuous improvement.
Position Location
The position will be based at the SolarHub ACT Netball Centre. Some domestic travel may be required from time to time to attend scheduled meetings, events, competitions and stakeholder activities.
Salary / Tenure / Hours
Full time; 38 hours per week. Some evening and weekend work is required to support competitions, programs, events, facility operations and stakeholder engagement.
The General Manager may attend Board committee meetings, Member Association meetings, Netball Australia meetings, NACT events and stakeholder forums as required.
