This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a high performance environment by ensuring players families feel supported, connected, and settled throughout every stage of their journey with the club.

As the Wellbeing & Family Coordinator, you will be the central point of contact for player families, leading our family engagement approach and creating meaningful connections that support both wellbeing and performance.

You will help players and their families successfully relocate, settle into the Perth community, and access the support they need to thrive. Through proactive engagement and trusted relationships, you will play a key role in enhancing player focus, family wellbeing, and long term retention.

What You’ll Do

  • Build trusted relationships with players, partners, and families, acting as their primary point of contact throughout their journey with the club.
  • Lead and deliver the club's family engagement framework, ensuring proactive and culturally appropriate support for families.
  • Coordinate the relocation, onboarding, and settlement of players and their families into the Perth community.

  • Provide insights, reporting, and recommendations on family wellbeing, engagement, and retention to support club decision-making.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong cultural awareness and the ability to engage effectively with diverse communities, family structures, and backgrounds.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams and build strong external networks.
  • A proactive, empathetic, and solutions-focused approach, with the confidence to identify issues early and coordinate appropriate support.
  • High levels of professionalism, discretion, and sound judgement when managing sensitive information and wellbeing matters

Why Join Us?

This is more than a job. It's a rare opportunity to help shape the future of the Perth Bears and build the foundations of a new NRL club. As part of a start-up environment, your ideas, expertise, and leadership will directly influence the development of our players, coaches, and performance pathways.

You'll have the chance to build a best-in-class development system from the ground up and work within an ambitious, collaborative, and high performing culture. Most importantly, you'll leave a legacy on rugby league in Western Australia and help shape the next generation of Perth Bears talent.

Working in a Start-Up Environment
