Description

The Club and Region Development Officer (CRDO) plays a key role in supporting the growth and development of gymnastics across NSW. Working closely with affiliated clubs and regions, as the CRDO you will build strong relationships, deliver exceptional service, and provide practical support and guidance to help clubs thrive.

Gymnastics NSW is actively recruiting for this role and may progress applications and appoint prior to the advertised closing date.

Specific Duties

The Club and Region Development Officer will contribute to the delivery of Gymnastics NSW’s annual priorities and strategic objectives through the following key responsibilities:

Club Development

  • Implement and support Gymnastics NSW club development initiatives, services and resources, including the online Business Hub, webinar series and other club development programs and resources.
  • Provide high-quality, responsive customer service, advice and support to affiliated clubs and club administrators.
  • Build strong and productive relationships with clubs to understand their needs, identify opportunities and support their ongoing development.
  • Promote available services and resources to ensure clubs are aware of and effectively accessing the support available through Gymnastics NSW.

Region Development

  • Coordinate and oversee the administration of Gymnastics NSW regional activities.
  • Work collaboratively with regions and key stakeholders to develop, implement and monitor regional development plans.
  • Support regions to identify priorities and opportunities that strengthen gymnastics participation, capability and delivery within their communities.
  • Review and sanction regional activities in accordance with Gymnastics NSW policies, procedures and requirements.
  • Maintain regular communication and positive working relationships with regional representatives.

Participation

  • Work collaboratively with the broader Gymnastics NSW team to design, plan and implement initiatives that increase participation and membership in gymnastics.
  • Promote and support the implementation of Gymnastics NSW participation programs across clubs and regions.
  • Support clubs to identify opportunities to attract, engage and retain participants.
  • Contribute to the monitoring and evaluation of participation initiatives to inform future programs and priorities.

Member and Club Support

  • Provide timely and accurate information, advice and support to clubs, members and other stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain strong, consistent communication and positive relationships across the gymnastics community.
  • Support clubs and members through the transition to Gymnastics NSW’s new membership management system, including onboarding, education and helpdesk support.
  • Identify recurring club and member enquiries and contribute to the development of resources and solutions that improve the customer experience.

General

  • Participate in relevant meetings, training, professional development and organisational activities.
  • Contribute collaboratively to Gymnastics NSW projects, initiatives and organisational outcomes across departments.
  • Maintain accurate records and information relevant to the role and its activities.
  • Represent Gymnastics NSW professionally when engaging with clubs, members, regions, partners and other stakeholders.
  • Undertake other duties reasonably required from time to time that are consistent with the scope and responsibilities of the position.

Location and Travel

The position is based at the Gymnastics NSW office in Homebush, New South Wales. Regular travel throughout metropolitan and regional NSW will be required to engage with clubs, regions and other stakeholders.
