ACU Football Club is looking for a Women’s Football Coordinator to support the continued development of women’s football at the club and provide a clear link between our women’s teams and the ACU FC committee.

This is a great opportunity for someone who would like to become involved in community football, gain practical experience in sports administration and development, or contribute to the growth of women’s football.

The role is focused on coordination, communication and development. You will not be expected to coach or manage a team. Instead, you will work alongside our women’s coaches and managers to help ensure our teams are supported and women’s football is represented in club planning and decision-making.

Key duties may include:

• Acting as the main committee contact for ACU FC’s women’s teams
• Maintaining regular communication with women’s coaches and managers
• Representing women’s football in club planning and committee discussions
• Assisting with the recruitment and retention of women’s players
• Coordinating enquiries from prospective players and connecting them with appropriate teams
• Supporting coaches and managers with issues affecting the women’s program across multiple teams
• Assisting with preseason planning, including player numbers and team nominations
• Identifying opportunities to improve the experience of women participating at ACU FC
• Supporting initiatives designed to grow women’s participation and engagement
• Supporting the planning and delivery of ACU FC’s preseason Kick On for Women program, working with other club volunteers and relevant football stakeholders
• Helping maintain a welcoming and inclusive environment for women’s players
• Keeping the ACU FC committee informed of important developments, opportunities and issues relating to women’s football

Previous experience in football administration or on a sporting club committee is not required. We are primarily looking for someone who is approachable, organised, communicates well and has a genuine interest in women’s football.

The opportunity could particularly suit a current or former player, coach or manager; a university student or graduate interested in sport; or someone from the wider football community who would like to contribute to the development of women’s football.

The workload varies throughout the year, with more activity during preseason recruitment and team formation and a lighter workload at other times. Much of the role can be completed remotely.
