The Wanderers Australia cricket program has been in existence for 30 years. Most players attending the tours are academy level players, or those who are playing regional or state school level. For those who are not fully aware of our program head to waus.com.au.
The aim of our program is to have passionate players travel overseas through cricket, improve with excellent coaching and playing against the local players, but also equally importantly build some resilience and confidence in players, teach them some life and travel skills and come back a better player and person from the experience.
We have some coaching/team staff vacancies we would like to fill for our junior cricket tour to England and France between June 23 and July 11.
Staff are expected to be level 2 minimum (or at a minimum working to level 2), demonstrate experience in looking after young people in terms of supervision, not just coaching, and assist in supervising the players throughout the tour as well as coaching them at the cricket field. They must also have a current working with children check and be senior first aid qualified before departure.
Wanderers Australia covers tour costs for staff including uniform, flights, accommodation, transfers, breakfast, some dinners, entry fees and travel insurance as well as internal transfers.
Full backup support and training is provided by us for all staff before and on tour, and each tour will have an experienced leader on board.
Coaches and team staff are required to supervise the players throughout the tour on and off the field.
