As Head of Communications and Media at the Queensland Academy of Sport, you'll lead a high-performing team to shape and deliver powerful communications that elevate the QAS brand and inspire audiences across the high-performance sport sector.

In this fast-paced and future-focused role, you'll:

  • Lead a talented team across communications, media, and design to deliver strategic, integrated content
  • Drive brand alignment and storytelling that reflects the QAS vision and government messaging
  • Provide high-level advice and manage media responses with the CEO, Board and Minister's Office
  • Champion a digital-first approach and introduce innovative, streamlined work practices
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams, government agencies, and external partners
  • Role model positivity, resilience, and excellence to guide your team through change and growth

Essential Requirements

  • National Police / Criminal History Check
  • Working with Children / Working with Vulnerable People Check

Desirable Criteria

  • At least 5 years’ practical experience in communications and marketing roles, and team leadership experience.
